Every tool on this page is something I run in production — on my own infrastructure or infrastructure I manage for clients. For each one: who it suits, its main limitation, and whether the link is affiliated. Nothing is listed because of commission.
Web hosting
Hostinger — shared, cloud, and VPS hosting. This site and several production sites I manage run on it. Best for: small organizations and freelancers who want strong price-to-performance with LiteSpeed caching. Main limitation: renewal prices are notably higher than first-term promos, and support is chat-only. Read the full Hostinger review. Link status: not affiliated (plain link).
Networking & VPN
Tailscale — mesh VPN built on WireGuard. Best for: teams that need secure connectivity across sites and CGNAT connections (including Starlink) without managing servers. Main limitation: per-seat pricing grows with headcount, and you depend on their coordination service. Link status: not affiliated.
WireGuard — the open-source VPN protocol itself, self-hosted on a small VPS. Best for: technical teams that want full control at minimal cost. Main limitation: you manage keys, routing, and offboarding yourself. See WireGuard vs Tailscale for when to choose which. Link status: not affiliated.
Online business
Systeme.io — all-in-one funnels, email, courses, and selling platform with a genuinely usable free plan. Best for: creators and small businesses that want one tool instead of five subscriptions. Main limitation: design flexibility is below dedicated page builders. Read the full review (in French). Link status: affiliate link.
MailerLite — the newsletter platform behind this site. Best for: small lists that need automation on a free tier. Main limitation: approval process can be strict for new senders. Link status: not affiliated.
