NetStack Review publishes practical reviews and implementation guides for networking, hosting, and online-business tools — based on real deployments in real organizations, not on vendor marketing material. The site started with networking and hosting; it has since grown to cover cloud platforms, cybersecurity tools and certifications, and smart home / IoT devices — always through the same lens: what an IT professional would actually trust on their own network.
Who writes this site
I’m Daniel Ekese Mwendi, an IT infrastructure and cybersecurity professional based in Buea, Cameroon, with more than 20 years of hands-on experience. I serve as Lead IT Manager and Senior Trainer at IT Centre PCC, a vocational ICT training centre established in 2004 with over 1,000 alumni, and as CTO of a microfinance institution. Across my career I have designed, deployed, and maintained IT infrastructure for more than 60 institutions — schools, hospitals, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Credentials and experience
I hold CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications alongside ICDL credentials. My day-to-day work covers enterprise networking, VPN deployments (WireGuard, Tailscale), VoIP systems, CCTV and surveillance, enterprise Wi-Fi, network-attached storage, Starlink deployments, web hosting, and cybersecurity. The products reviewed on this site are drawn from that work: tools I run in production, on infrastructure I am personally responsible for.
How products are reviewed
Every review on NetStack Review follows the same principles: the product must have been deployed or tested hands-on; the review states who the product suits and who should avoid it; real weaknesses are named, not softened; and pricing is verified against the vendor’s official pricing page, with the verification date noted where possible. When a product breaks, disappoints, or gets more expensive, the review is updated to say so.
